Finished "Once Upon a Wardrobe" the day before Christmas—one of my favorite books ever. This week I read "Meet Me in Monaco" by Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb. I love finding new authors to read. I am looking forward to reading "Christmas with the Queen" by Gaynor and Webb soon.
Just started "The Florios of Sicily" about a family that started out in a small village and built an empire. This was one of those books that was given to me by a friend who found it "wasn't for them". I love the richness of the language. Maybe because it's a translation from Italian? Also learned a Hulu series was based on it (The Lions of Sicily).
Just finished "The Woman Who Wasn't There" by Robin Gaby Fisher and Angelo J. Guglielmo, Jr. Fascinating story of the woman who claimed to be a 9-11 survivor, but wasn't, yet still rose to become president of the survivor's association. Fascinating true story well told by an investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker.
I just finished “Christmas with the Queen” by Hazel Gaynor and Tracy Webb. Phenomenal. Un-put-down-able! You should put it on your reads for next Christmas. I am just finishing “Christmas Duet” by Debbie Macomber and it is as heartwarming and sweet as her books always are. I am never disappointed. My next book will be “Winter Solstice” by Rosamunde Pilcher.
My journalist friend interviewed Jilly Cooper and said she was incredibly gracious. I've long wanted to read one of her books. I also want to read Kate Thompson's forthcoming book, Renée's story looks incredible. Happy writing in 2025!
I've read most of Jilly Cooper's novels. They are all huge, with so many characters that I must constantly refer to the list at the front of the book. I would also recommend reading Fiona Walker's books.
I am reading “Meet Me in Monaco” by Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb. Also reading the ebook version of “The Mirror” by Nora Roberts.
Great choices!
I'm working on A Grave Robbery by Deanna Raybourn (what a delightful historical mystery series) and Into the Woods by Jenny Holiday.
I really like Deanna Raybourn's books! I need to pick that one up!
Just started Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies by Catherine Mack..
Quirky! Finished Custodians of Wonder by Eliot Stein thru Netgalley...amazing non fiction book!
I read Catherine Mack's book a few months ago. It's a lot of fun!

That sounds fascinating! I haven't heard of it before.

Winter Solstice is a comfort read of mine!

I like to think Jilly Cooper would be the best dinner party host. (And probably guest too!) Happy writing to you too!

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to read Fiona Walker's books!
