Preorder Betrayal at Blackthorn Park to save 25%!
Barnes & Nobel is running its 25% off preorders sale—and it's so good!
Don’t mind me popping into your inbox two days in a row, but I have some good news for those of you in the US!
I just learned from my publisher that my second Evelyne Redfern mystery Betrayal at Blackthorn Park has been included in its 25% off preorder sale. That means that until April 19th, you can preorder the sequel to A Traitor in Whitehall in hardcover, ebook, or audiobook and get a bit of cash off if you use the code PREORDER25!
To take advantage of this, you do need to be a Barnes & Noble Rewards member, but it is free to sign up. (If you’re a Premium member, you get an additional 10% off!)
I’ve also just done a bit of sleuthing and it looks like the paperback preorder of A Traitor in Whitehall is also available for the 25% off deal using that same PREORDER25 code, so if you need to catch up on the series, this is your chance!
Why is preordering important?
For those of you wondering why authors keep talking about preorders, they’re really important for a few reasons:
Preorders help our publishers gauge how much early interest there is in a book. That can help authors when it comes to how much marketing and PR budget our book is given, and it can also make for more accurate print runs (i.e. helps make sure that the book you want doesn’t sell out too quickly).
They help booksellers decide how large an initial order of our books to make so they’re on bookstore shelves.
Preorder sales count towards the first week of book sales. That’s important for things like bestseller lists and rankings that can get the book in front of more readers.
So, if you’ve been thinking about buying Betrayal at Blackthorn Park or A Traitor in Whitehall—or another favorite author’s upcoming book—please do consider making a preorder purchase. Your future book-loving self will thank you!
