A handy directory of some of your favorite authors

going to pull back the curtain here for a moment. Being an author isn’t just about writing books. In fact, a lot more goes into author life these days including a lot of marketing and reader outreach.

One of the big ways that authors like me do that is through our newsletters, and one of the big platforms for author newsletters is Substack—the very app that I’m using to send this out to you right now!

I’ve used several newsletter platforms in the past, but I like Substack in particular because it combines newsletter sending with the best parts of blogging (like reader comments). It also makes it really easy to follow other writers and Substackers.
